Welcome to the Bodyshop Awards 2025 competition website for Technicians, Apprentices, and VDAs.
These assessments are for the following categories, which will be announced at the Bodyshop Awards 2025 at The Belfry on the 20-21 October 2025.

- Apprentice Paint Technician of the Year
- Panel Technician of the Year
- Apprentice Panel Technician of the Year
- Advanced Technologies Technician of the Year
- Apprentice MET Technician of the Year
- VDA of the Year

All competitors will have 20 minutes to answer 30 randomly generated multiple-choice questions. Competitors will get one chance to complete the quiz and must answer the questions independently without any outside help. All apprentices entering the Bodyshop Awards 2025 must still be within their apprenticeship at the time of the practical assessments in July.
The closing date for completion of all assessment questions in all categories is Tuesday, 13th May 2025. After that date, the top four in each of the Technician and Apprentice categories will be invited to take part in a hands-on practical assessment at Thatcham Research on 28 – 30 July 2025. The top eight VDA of the Year competitors will undergo a telephone interview in May-June, before the top four will take part in a hands-on assessment at Thatcham Research in July.
The top four Technicians and Apprentices in each category and the top four VDAs following the practical assessments will be our finalists and will be invited to the Bodyshop Awards 2025 in October.
